Born and raised on a farm in Indiana, Gabrielle grew up wanting to be a veterinarian. It was not until an impromptu trip that led this Indiana girl down a different path. She cashed in her return ticket and made the fabulous Florida Keys her home.

She began her career shortly after, working her way up from restaurants to the most iconic resorts in the Florida Keys. Gabrielle became the Area Sales Coordinator at the Islamorada Resort Collection where she was responsible for four properties and the execution of the many group events and weddings, coordinating group blocks, rooming lists, day of coordination and a host of sales duties. She held a Banquet Manager role for several restaurants where she sold, coordinated, and supervised events and later joined Cheeca Lodge & Spa as Senior Catering and Sales Manager. This position provided extensive experience in catering, sales, and marketing, as well as crisis management. Hurricane Irma devastated the resort in 2018, and her team led the reopening strategy after the resort’s $25 million renovation.

Aside from work, in normal times, she loves to be surrounded by her family, catch a good sunset, and of course travel to new places.

With a military family background and young children, Gabrielle is happy to be settled and growing roots in the Florida Keys for the years to come. She dreams of one day opening a venue of her own in her hometown. Until then, you can catch her in the Keys. So, when you are ready to experience your dream wedding, please contact her. As Dolphin Point Villas General Manager, Katie Brockway is an experienced, detailed, and personable sales professional. She studied hospitality management specializing in event management, and her passions for travel, community, and weddings led her to Dolphin Point Villas after many years at some of Miami’s most sought-after hospitality and wedding destination venues. In and out of her professional life, she is always finding herself in the middle of planning fun and memorable events for the people around her.

Katie is eager to share such a beautiful and unique venue with brides, families, and locals. She is inspired by the team she leads, and she appreciates her role as the face of the resort and go-to for all things weddings. In her role, she looks forward to deepening DPV’s impact on the community and to furthering their reputation for providing the ideal Keys destination wedding and events venue.

As a Miami native, Kim grew up always loving the water and all things sea. She and her family would travel to Orlando almost every weekend to visit her favorite, SeaWorld. It never quite wore on her. When SeaWorld wasn’t in the weekend mix, they would visit the Seaquarium in Miami. The orcas and dolphins simply fascinated Kim. This eventually led to her search of becoming an orca/dolphin trainer.

During her quest, she soon found that a degree was required to become fully certified. Eager to get in the field, Kim had to weigh her two options at hand; investing in school for the next 4 years, or pursing a job offer at the world renowned and PADI certified, Amoray Dive Resort.

Although the decision wasn’t an easy one at the time, she soon received quick gratification after choosing Amoray Dive Resort. During her second day of work, she found herself snorkeling in the Dive Capitol of the World. From the moment of her first dive, she knew this decision had opened a new world to her, so much that she wanted to become an instructor herself. She wanted to be one with the fish!

Kim received her open water scuba certifications soon after and today continues adding new scuba certifications. In 2017, Kim was promoted to General Manager of Amoray Dive Resort and has led the way through a successful full property renovation. In 2021, after her track record of successes, Azul Del Mar was added to her umbrella of managerial duties.

A seasoned hotelier, and a recent Bride herself, Kim was very excited to add Azul to the portfolio. She loves being able to combine her love for the sea and the love of our couples searching for the perfect wedding destinations. Kim has hosted several, both land and sea, weddings– and looks forward to working hosting many more.

Born in Las Vegas, Nevada to a military family, Kathryn moved 14 times in seven years. One of five siblings, all born 18 months apart in age, through the well-planned timing of her amazing parents!

Their family moved to Miami when she started elementary school, eventually graduating high school--barely, as she focused on participating with as many business work experience programs as possible knowing the business world would be more her speed. While in high school, Kathryn worked full time at an architectural firm in Coral Gables for 5 + years, worked part-time in sales at Ann Taylor and catered on weekends/holidays with her Grandma’s Catering business.

Bypassing college, Kathryn went straight into the business world, finding success early with a career in the financial planning world which she enjoyed for nearly 20 years.

In 2001, Kathryn moved to the beautiful Florida Keys, beginning a new career in hospitality and opened the quaint bayside Coconut Palm Inn in Tavernier, formerly Frank's Key Haven. It was a labor of love for 15 years, as she lived and learned all aspects of the hotel business. In 2010 Kathryn was honored with the “general manager of the year” award from the Lodging Association of the Florida Keys and Key West in recognition of exceptional efforts serving our visitors, our industry, and our community as well as successful promotion of weddings in the Upper Keys.

Shortly thereafter, Kathryn joined the Kona Kai Resort, and as she likes to say, the rest is history!

In Kathryn’s spare time, she loves helping others, fine dining, reading and relaxing! Once a world traveler, now the world travels around her through resort guests. Occasionally you’ll find her in the peaceful mountains in Hendersonville, N.C., to relax with family/friends in our cabin to watch the change of the leaves and seasons.
